The assets displayed in the XUMM shortlist are listed per issuer, Gatehub and Bitstamp. More information is on their websites: https://support.gatehub.net/hc/en-us/articles/360021238434-What-are-issuances-IOUs- & https://www.bitstamp.net/faq/ripple-network-and-bitstamp-iou-service/

Wietse Wind: For sure you need a FAQ addressing this. You can't just transfer XRP to USD, then tell people to read about it on another site. You're going to get flooded with questions, when people have USD and then scratch their heads. I looked at Bitstamp. Their FAQ is scant and was not created to answer XUMM USD IOU questions. Now I have to go read on the IOU system in detail. And Bitstamp says nothing about how I get my IOU from XUMM to Bitstamp to move USD from Bitstamp to anywhere.

George: Of course, but we'll work on content later, during the Beta we'll be focussing on development, mostly :) I updated your post title and body to reflect this. Thank you!

Wietse Wind: I'm very excited about XUMM. I know very well the loggerhead of crypto<-> fiat USD. Your app is definitely less friction. I'm surprised that you don't have to implement the stringent KYC like a Coinbase or a Crypto.com . I'm guessing you by-pass this as you leave it up to the issuer of the IOU_USD (Bitstamp). Anyhow, look forward to the XUMM ecosystem and good job so far.

George: As XUMM is neither the custodian nor the issuer/exchanging entity, we're good :) Thank goodness :)
