Transaction History Export (Simple)
WM
The ability to export a wallet鈥檚 transaction history in a format that is easy to read by accountants or non-technical users, or for input into crypto tax software. Reports might contain the following at a minimum:
1) Trades/Exchanges. Simplify DEX trades or path finder exchanges (1 incoming payment + 1 matching outgoing payment) into single line items showing both pairs next to each other. List by date. Include fees if applicable.
2) Deposits. List payments received that are not attached to trades.
3) Withdrawals. Same as above but with payments sent.
4) Airdrops. Not sure if deposits are possible to discern as airdrops per se, but listing airdropped assets by date would be helpful.
5) Fees. List and categorize fees assessed. An XRPL favorite.
Reports could be more advanced in the future but a simple report like this would be enough to get started. If you have hundreds of payments or trades throughout the year, wallet transaction history is dense. People need a clearly understandable way to review history and also compile for tax prep, accounting, etc.

XUMM is a non custodial wallet for the XRP Ledger, meaning there is no specific information XUMM has / can provide that the XRP Ledger doesn't already have.
There are a couple of companies specialized in reporting. That's not the core business of XRP Labs. I did make a simple export to CSV tool. It's not XUMM specific, as it just reads all info available straight from the XRP Ledger:
This tool is open source and I encourage anyone to build something better and take my source to do so.

Wietse Wind: Thanks for your response and I do understand the non-custodial nature of XUMM. That said, XUMM is probably the only point-of-entry to the XRPL for many everyday users. It would be a great service to offer an
interpretation
of on-chain XRPL tx history in an exportable format that everyone can understand. People are required to look into this and report every 12 months. Especially with fiat on/off-ramps coming to XUMM, everyday retail users will likely expect some type of history. I just Googled XRPL Transaction Reporting and found no relevant results. I was able to use your tool myself and clean the data to my liking after 30+ minutes and hundreds of transactions, but it had me thinking how is a beginner XUMM user going to go through the hassle? I know it's not your focus but a lot of new users from this year will be looking for an easy solution come January and won't find a good one.Wietse Wind
WM: Our on-ramp/off-ramp services to be will indeed come with export options, as that's required by law and that involves some info only we have, from our relationship with the individual customer.
The hard part with exports is that it really is a very very specific topic, requiring a specialism in regulations, tax, etc. as the requirements are very different based on the jurisdiction.
I hear what you are saying (and agree) but at the same time we have to focus, and building a non custodial wallet is our core business. Exporting public blockchain information isn't. We're happy to assist a company who's core business it is to do that to integrate with the XRPL in a decent way.
Googling resulted in cointracking.info / taxbit / https://koinly.io - I tested the last some time back but their XRPL integration isn't good.
Happy to hear my tool did help a bit. Sorry for the disappointing reply from my side. I just want to manage expectations here, and those should be that we probably won't offer this any time soon (if at all).
